Some people will use any punctuation for evil

I feel like I need to explain my use of the ! at the front of a sentence.

I never really got exclaimation marks at the end of a sentence that implied Sarcasm.  I mean, I got the ones that brought the picture of the person saying things LOUDER and HAPPIER.  But a ! to imply a joke, or sarcasm- they always leave me confused while I am reading, and then I’m all a step behind thinking “Oh yeah, heh!”.

So, if you put a ! at the front of a sentence, it clearly shows your readers that you intend what they read to be read with a sense of humour.  Because it is funny.  It’s true, but funny.  Like having great vit D levels because your FIL sends you group emails to links to articles about taking more vit D.  And then all the people in the whole medical office come to ohh and ahh over your vit D levels.  And you thank comic relief for comic relief.  Like that.

I now purpose a mass outcry for changing English punctuation.

Some people will use this for evil.

Some people will use any punctuation for evil.

Now…close your eyes and breathe deeply, listen to my words, you are getting sleepy, very sleepy.  Look at the little hot air ballon at the end of the dirt path that is perfectly resting at the horizon where blue sky meets yellow land.  You are feeling so happy you are dizzy.  You will tell the masses via new age social media about ! at the start of a sentence indicating that the reader should read this sentance as being told with humour. ! Because I haven’t taken my free community college course on new social media and probably can’t figure out how to turn on you iphone, but I bet you have an APP for this very sort of thing.

Don’t you?
